AST’s new ISO registrations took effect March 3, 2010, following six months of diligent preparation and a rigorous series of audits conducted by Intertek Testing Services, in which the company demonstrated its continued ability to improve quality management systems, meet industry requirements and enhance customer experience.

Previously accredited to the ISO 9001:2001 standard, AST took the initiative to renew its registration in accordance with the latest set of standardized requirements for quality management systems. As a supplement to the ISO 9001, the surface technology company also earned ISO 13485:2003 registration, which specifically focuses on ensuring safety and efficiency in the medical device industry.

These latest voluntary certifications represent AST’s commitment to both prioritizing customer satisfaction and compliance to medical devices standards across domestic and international markets.

(Keller Medical), for the use of its LubriLAST™ lubricous hydrophilic coating on Keller Medical’s unique and innovative tool, the Keller Funnel™ for breast augmentation procedure.
